I'm going to see The Color Purple tonight, and need to catch an 11:13 train to get home. According to a website, the running time is 2 hours and 40 minutes- would you say that is accurate? And do they usually start on time?
Also, how long should I give myself to get from the theater to Penn Station?
My mom seems to think we'll have to leave early but a) I would hate to miss the end of the show and b) It just looks bad leaving a show early, and I don't want to do it!

Posted: 2/6/08 at 12:02pmThat running time is about right. When you get out of the theatre you can walk over to 50th and get on the 1 train which is two stops away from Penn Station.

If I remember correctly, we got out at about 10:45. You don't want to miss the end of the show. Especially the curtain call. I was in tears. Good tears though!

Take a cab. You'll get there in plenty of time.
You won't make it if you walk.
