Hey everyone,
I need a little help. Some of my friends and I are wondering how you pronounce the two youngest daughter's names from the show Fiddler on the Roof. This is how they are spelled Shprintze and Bielke
They're pretty much phonetic, actually. SHPRINT-zeh and Bee-EL-keh. In most productions I've seen, they pronounce it a little bit more like "SHPRINT-zah"/"Bee-EL-kah."

Wow, way to nail it, there Schmerg.
There is a distinction between the "-eh" and the "-ah" -- and it makes all the difference in terms of authenticity.
I don't think so guys. These are Yiddish names. Most likely "SHPRIN-tseh" and "BEEL-keh". That's my guess.
Both are mentioned in "The Rumor". At least on the OBCR, it's SHPRINTZ-zeh and Bee-EL-keh
Do you prefer the gutteral HACKCHHHA VA or the softer Hava?
