Bobbybubby, I remember some actress saying she had no interest in being in American films. She was a respected , top of the marquee-actress in her country and she didn't wish to be relegated to insignificant roles. She used the German actress, Marianne Sägebrecht as her example. She said something like "...
Marianne Sägebrecht is a wonderful actress and in the US she is playing the maid of Kathleen Turner." Something to that effect.
