10/28 Usdan Open House: Theater, Music, Dance

Usdan Center for the Creative and Performing Arts, the nationally renowned summer arts day camp whose alumni include Natalie Portman, Olivia Thirlby and Mariah Carey, will hold its first Open House for the 2013 season on Sunday October 28 from 11 AM to 2 PM at its magnificent 200-acre woodland campus on Long Island. Students from Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, Westchester and throughout the Tri-State Area annually attend Usdan, transported by air-conditioned buses. At the Open House, interested students will be able to tour the campus and obtain information on all programs. The season begins Monday June 24, 2013 for seven and four-week sessions, and no audition is needed for most courses, just an interest. There are more than 40 programs to choose from, in music, dance, theater, visual arts, creative writing, nature and ecology and chess, and world-famous artists in special concert performances in the on-site McKinley Ampitheater.
