1.5) I have a PO Box in 10023. But I live in the West Village.
If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

Glad to hear it Gotham, and good to know. There are a few more of us who can claim 10023. We'll hear from them soon I suspect.

All I can afford in 10023 is a PO Box. Sigh. Maybe someday.

Barry saw Jane Krackowski in the neighborhood a lot when she was in NINE. And supposedly Victor Garber lived a block away from me until about five years ago.

I lived on the upper west side for 24 years, leaving only last spring. (Which is why I have so damned much time to post here.) Do I get credit, as an alumna?

You've all probably seen me on the floor of Barnes and Noble on 66th reading the books I can't afford to buy. Or copying info for publishers out of the freelancing books. Or attempting to pick men up over a common interest in the same book.

If you look like Lotte Lenya I certainly would have noticed.

Anyone else in or originally form 10023?

D'Agostino's, NYCO, the Met (I'm the chick who gets student rush and standing room tickets), Juilliard's bookstore, Cafe Mozart, Olympic Flame Diner....
Il Violino and Cafe Fiorello, when I can afford them. I'm in mourning for the passing of Opera Espresso. My childhood Saturday afternoons were lunch at Opera Espresso or the Saloon and then a matinee at the Met or City Opera.
One can also find me at the Playwright enjoying a quiet glass of wine.

The Muffin Shop is very good - great sandwiches on the cheddar scones. There is a little hole in the wall Italian place on 71st off Columbus that looks like it has been unchanged since the '50s. I forget the name, but it's kinda nice. I do miss Grossingers & The Cherry.
I'm always sticking my head into the Housing Works Thrift Shop. Good stuff turns up there. And you'll always see me at the 77th st. Flea Market in the schoolyard every Sunday at 10.
And no more Disney Store!! Was kinda shocked to see that.
