15 new free play scripts

Freedrama.net published 15 new drama and comedy play scripts for no cost to schools and theatres.

Two people in love at the end of the world... and a woman who loves nature but nature doesn't love her back. These are some of the new themes from plays recently published on the Freedrama website. The plays are both dramas and comedies with small cast options.

Monologues are a major need for actors who are auditioning and looking for fresh, new plays, so the website now has a new section on monologues with newly added scripts. The monologues include selections from published plays as well as new, original scripts. Both comedy and drama scripts are available, giving an actor a variety of choices for auditions or classroom activities.

The scripts are written by two time Emmy Award winner D. M. Larson. In 2002, he decided to offer his scripts for free on the Freedrama website as a way to promote the love of drama and provide schools with free educational materials. The website now has thousands of visitors a day and the plays have been performed all over the world, from New York City and London to the Middle East and Antarctica.
