I don't think its the best choice, but if you can rock the song, sing it. I would suggest singing Sondheim for a Sondheim show just because his music can be demanding. It shows that you can sing Sondheim. Pick a song that you feel comfortable with.

Maybe the Gun Song from assassins?
it would work really well if you can cut it up and learn it in time
Otherwise look at the rest of assassins, evening primrose has dark undertones to it's music that would be nice for sweeny.

I wouldn't look into company, purely because it's the first musical that springs to mind for most people.

audition for a Sondheim show with a Webber song? I try not to use Webber in auditions, his stuff is too simple-minded sometimes, characters not really that interesting.
