Hey everyone,
I am doing a project on 1930's popular entertainment... and I need some information about 1930's Movies and Film Stars [e.g. Wizard of Oz, Shirley Temple], even Broadways from that time period.
Whatever you have would be great... thanks a lot for your help!

GothamPC recommending LEFT-WING theater?!?!?
Has BWW gone mad?
Here's an idea Kanga: Chronicle the 4 Broadway Melody movies--they span the decade from 1929 to 1940 and they encompass all forms of 1930s popular entertainment.
The first--flat and hokey--was made at the dawn of sound movies and featured songs that would later be re-used in MGM's classic "Singing in the Rain"; the second featured Jack Benny, a great radio star when radio was the center of popular entertainment; the third featured a young Judy Garland singing to a picture of Clark Gable and an aging Sophie Tucker, who was a veteran of vaudeville, which was dying; and the last features Eleanor Powell again, tap-dancing with Fred Astaire to "Begin the Beguine" on a beautiful set that embodied 1930's Art Deco.
The whole of 1930s popular entertainment in one series of movies.

Are internet sources all right? These should help for musicals and musical movies (if you haven't been to this site yet - if you have, sorry for not being any help!):

Any discussion of musicals should include PINS AND NEEDLES - a satirical revue produced and performed by members of ILGWU - the International Ladies' Garment Workers Union. It contained much biting social and political commentary.
At the time, the garment workers were the largest union in NYC, and caried a lot of clout. It was said that getting a good review in "Women's Wear Daily" was as important as a good review in the N.Y. Times.
