I always find ties to be the most thrilling surprises at awards shows... I would even go so far as to say were they disallowed (which they ALMOST are at the AAs due to the relatively new Oscar rules which require the EXACT same number of votes for the winners, as opposed to within a few of each other ala Babs/Hepburn) I wouldn't really look forward to them nearly as much. The Tonys' Best Score TOMMY/SPIDER WOMAN tie is probably the best in recent memory.
