I highly recommend this weeks Real Time with Bill Mahr. In it the film maker gets ripped apart by Mahr. The entire episode is brilliant!

That pretty much sums up how ridiculous the movie is.

These are the idiots who went to see this movie. These people before they even saw the movie knew they were voting against Obama to begin with. I would worry if these were honest undecided voters. They are not.

Racist Tea Baggers who would elect Donald Trump or Victoria Jackson if it meant Obama was booted from the White House.These morons have no morals or values. Just hate and stupidity.

I disagree. My Mom who is an independent and could care less about Michael Moore saw SICKO and loved it.She talked about it for days. These people are going to see OBAMA 2016 already misinformed. They've heard about the film from Talk radio or right wing blogs or Fox News. The few who do have an open mind who see it I'm sure are not buying the BS.

I do not see what Michael Moore and This director have in common.You mentioned this yesterday and I asked for some specific examples.Go check out some episodes of The Awful truth or TV Nation. Michael Moore is no fan of Bill Clinton or Obama. In the film Capitalism he goes after both Clintons and Timothy Geithner. Michael might lean left but he despises a lot of the liberal Democrats. He also a real filmmaker. He knows how to hold people's attention, conduct an interview,he actually researches the topics he talks about,he interviews people, and can usually back up what he says. Judging by the interview I saw the other night of Bill Maher,this guy did none of the above. How can any sane person compare the two?

So, I'll say it again. People seeing this fictional film Obama 2016 already hate Obama. They are Fox News watching Republicans who who knew who they were voting 3 1/2 years ago.

Well with Bowling for Columbine it at least starting with the conceit that Michael Moore grew up with guns, shot guns for fun and in competition as a teenager, and is a member of the NRA who as a member actually wanted to promote responsible gun ownership. So he shows how laws in favor of gun ownership promote irresponsibility. But then the second-half of Bowling for Columbine fell apart with the Charlton Heston interview and exhausting that one anecdotal story about a kid who shot a gun in his elementary school having a mother who was working under the welfare reform act. All that payoff really had an attempted Dick Clark interview because that mother worked in one of his crappy restaurants to make ends meet. Interesting issue to note but what issue are we talking about again?

Moore's films some of the time do not stick to one issue or really give you an organic sense that certain issues are connected to others. Sicko came close to the Roger & Me formula that I thought worked but his last film just lazily does a film form of a screed against the issue of the day.

Yeah, and ripping off the South Park animation style after the South Park boys [who I am not a great defender of] told him to eff off was a sleazy low ball manipulative move.

The appearance on Real Time was ALMOST painful to watch. Maher literally invited him on the show simply to beat the **** out him. I loved it. And then he dropped the big bomb about how what he said that got him fired at ABC was really just him agreeing with the guy who then NEVER said anything in his defense. Brilliant, calculated and a joy.
