Very flawed film, but a groundbreaker nonetheless...
Finally on DVD
"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.”

Posted: 12/7/11 at 4:53pmI'm very much looking forward to seeing this again. I wonder how it holds up, what I'll get out of it that I didn't see before. My favorite section was the faux documentary, all the Genet stuff in prison left me very cold.

Posted: 12/7/11 at 5:46pmI actually liked the real-time prison scenes, but the flashbacks didn't work for me. It was like Genet meets Jarman. Overall, I remember being deeply effected by the film when it was originally released.
