I just watched this film the other night and it has become one of my favorites. Always a fan of George Pal,but I had never heard of this film. A friend loaned me some DVD's weeks ago and this was one of them. What impressed me the most was Tony Randall. My God! I never really knew much about him or seen any of his work other than his role on 'The Odd Couple'. To pull off 7 characters and do it so well is rare. In this day and age where we have remakes and sequels and comic book and cartoon character's making the transition into films, its refreshing to see a film that's original and entertaining.

Maybe if so,they will stop making them.Getting tired of sequels as well.I can easily see someone like Tim Burton trying to remake this (or as they now call it 'reimagine').

Posted: 1/25/09 at 1:29pmIt was VERY Creepy, especially for a child which is why I like it.Kid's films today are nothing but fart jokes and dumb jokes.Sure, a very rare few have dark overtones but Dr.Lao really freaked you out with the monsters and Bill Tuttle's make up. Randall as Merlin and the blind man and Dr.Lao made my jaw drop. No way did I see Tony in any of the three characters.Such an amazing actor. As an actor,I don't believe Randall did anything better than this.

I would love for it to be somewhat immersive, designing the show so that we, the audience, got to attend Dr. Lao's circus. Of course, this would have to happen after Pippin was no longer thrilling us as I think the themes are too similar.
