Rereading Arthur Laurents' auto-biography the other day, I came across his comment that "West Side Story" was almost named "Gangway!"

And I thought, I bet the folks on this board have some amusing stories of musicals and the names they almost had...or should have....

I think"Mamma Mia" should have been called "A Waste of $100 and Two and A Half Hours."

I can't hear Fernando anymore without remembering that brilliant episode of Malcolm in the Middle with guest star Bea Arthur.

I love Bea! And Malcolm gets better and better-- did anyone see the episode recently where Dewey writes an Opera based on Hal & Lois fighting over getting a new bed? Wonderful!

I approached On Golden Pond with trepidation. Would it broach the topic of incontinence? Was the 'Golden Pond' about a body of water or about a body function? I was relieved to find out it really was about a Pond!
