A Fitting Piece?

In the near future I intend to audition for the part of Audrey II in a nearby theater's performance of Little Shop of Horrors. I am a bass with the range and the voice for the part, I just can't seem to settle on a sixteen bar audition song that can display this. I am contemplating performing the male intro "Eyesight to the Blind" from Tommy in a different octave. . .I've heard it done, it sounds cool. . .but the song doesn't seem to have a consistent signing part anywhere in it. . .just a few lines and then a break then a few more lines then another break. I guess I'm just asking the opinion of those more experienced and with a wider knowledge of shows than I for advice =/
