My sister and I started out the night at Don't Tell Mama's for Seth's Chatterbox. The guest was Ruth Williamson and it was hysterical. I didn't realize that I had seen her in "Guys and Dolls" a few years ago as well as "Annie" on tour when I was younger (I need to double check that, but the dates seem to jive). I want to move to New York just so I can go see the chatterbox every week. I loved it.

We followed that with the performance of "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels". It was great and Norbert was fantastic -- his comic timing and physical acting were really quite good! I do wish that Sara Gettlefinger had a larger part because I really thought she was good. Roger Rees was in the audience and I swear that Richard Kind was there as well. I do realize that he is appearing in "The Producers" at the moment, but I found out later that he was out tonight, so I'm fairly certain that it was him.

We ended the night with drinks at Sardi's. Who walks in but Kitty Carlise Hart. I feel like I was able to experience a little bit of Broadway lore by seeing her at that restaurant. I'm not sure of her age, but she looked great and very stylish and the NYC weather tonight certainly left a lot to be desired!

We saw "Little Women" last night and I cried even though I've read the book more than once and seen a few versions of the movie. Sutton Foster was wonderful and if I wasn't too old, I would consider beoming a fan girl. Maureen McGovern was also great, and when I saw her Playbill picture, I immediately thought of Rath.

Tomorrow night brings Dame Edna followed by La Cage on Sautrday before it's back to the Windy City.

Sorry this is so long -- it was just really a great night -- snow and all.

Your story made me cry! I want to hobnob with Kitty, too!
