I am listening to an audiobook of Kitty Kelley's The Family. It is surprisingly well written, and VERY interesting. Here is a sample...
Upon hearing that his brother Jeb's teenage son and a teenage girl had been busted by the local security guards in a mall paking lot...both naked from the waist down...George quipped, "Well, it could have been worse...the girl could have been a boy. [pause] But maybe we could've picked up some gay votes with that one, eh?"
With the exception of the "gay vote" portion... I've heard the same punchline, or set-up for a punch line in more than one modern situation comedy. I think one such occurrence down this road was on "Will and Grace". Where's the controversy here?
I don't think it's controversial at all, but in light of is anti-gay policies, it comes across smug. Then again, almost everything he has to say comes across smug.
Nope, I'm not objective. The more I read about him (and no, Kitty Kelley and Michael Moore aren't my foundation sources...), the more I come to despise him. I am not sure how I can possibly abide four more years of him as president, should he win.
I've had no use for Nixon, but I never thought him stupid. Ditto for Bush Sr. But from source after source after source, a picture of someone who has gotten where he is by family connections and duplicitous behavior, wears a sense of entitlement proudly, and intentionally twists the truth to serve his purposes continues to emerge. Bad president. Bad role model.

Oh and don't forget about his sister Noelle. You might remember her mugshot.
Ah well... from someone who had a policeman tap on the glass and shine a flashlight on his dong in the parking lot of a Home Depot, both of us teens... (my future wife, in fact)
I will not throw stones. I guess I'm a corrupt bastard for getting a little hot action in my car.
The difference is that you and your gf would get a tap on the window, maybe a warning. Me and my boyfriend would be taken to jail for indecent exposure, lewdness, (no longer sodomy).
Depends on the cop jrb, my friend.
Methinks the flashlight lingered just a bit too long on my hoo-ha.
But I understand that there is a double standard.
had i known the book had these kinda revelations i woulda bought it already!!
