A MAN IS A MAN

When we're out on the town
He's in his tight bluejeans
Women give him the eye
As they pass by
Once in awhile
He might return their looks
But I understand
A Man Is A Man
Sometimes he seems
A million miles away
Talking sports to the guys
On a long Saturday
And he might mention
An old romance
Well, nobody's perfect
A Man Is A Man
A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do
That's okay if he takes care of you
A man's gotta be what a man's gotta be
But he'd better save his last dance for me
He's gotta take care of me
When I need a friend
Stand by me
Until the end
He's gotta be there at night
When the lights go down
Love me like nobody can
A Man Is A Man
solo
A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do
That's okay if he takes care of you
A man's gotta be what a man's gotta be
But he'd better save his last dance for me
He's gotta take care of me
When I need a friend
Stand by me
Until the end
He's gotta be there at night
When the lights go down
Love me like nobody can
A Man Is A Man
He's gotta love me like nobody can
A Man Is A Man

Haven't you figured out that your poetry isn't wanted here?
Neither is your shilling for you blahg. :P
I guess you think if you just go way for a while, we won;t remember your crappy poems.

Kind of reminds me of green eggs and ham.

Is he humping the Joshua Tree?
Decades ago?

Posted: 6/13/09 at 3:21pmOh this is kind of creative... you just took lines from old bad country songs and threw them in with a few new bad rhymes. Clever.

You have to admit it is a great theme, though. A "man" just can't keep it in his pants, but as long as he come home to me, that is just fine, because a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do.
Everyone wants a MAN like that.
What year is this?

You got to hand it to him, he does manage to be trite, regressive and infuriating in perfectly equal doses.
The opposite of creation isn't war, it's stagnation.

Well, when ya put it that way...
Gotta hand it to ya, Jimbo. No one does trite, regressive and infuriating like Colyer!
And you can quote me!

Jim, I don't even know you but with that avi and that god awful song, I want to tuck you into "The Burning Bed" and say nightie night the Farrah Fawcett way. Absolutely TERRIBLE.

I LOVE IT! Congratulations on finally coming out Jim. We all knew you were gay all along, but we realize everybody gets comfortable with that fact about themselves in their own time. So, good for you! I, for one, hope you finally find that man's man to "take care" of you. I'm sure the video of the hot dude in the tight blue jeans catching your eye will be simultaneously amazing and spot on!

A man is a man, of course, of course,
And no one can talk to a man of course
That is, of course, unless the man is the famous Jim Colyer.
Go right to the source and ask the man
He'll give you the answer that you'll endorse.
He's always on a steady course.
Talk to Jim Colyer.
People yakkity yak a streak and waste your time of day
But Jim Colyer will never post unless he has something to say.
A man is a man, of course, of course,
And this one'll talk 'til his voice is hoarse.
He is Jim Colyer!
