So...this evening was trick or treat night for my neighborhood. Can I tell you how annoyed I was by the number of ADULTS who were not in costumes, but collecting candy with their children. Or the adults with infants who were collecting candy. Or the children in no costumes. I really thought the whole idea of Halloween was for KIDS to get DRESSED UP and go door to door and ASK for candy......not demand it... I was so annoyed by the greed of some of these people! Ugh! Anyone with similar experiences?
You mean the adults were collecting candy as well as their children? That's weird. By the way, do lots of neighborhoods have trick-or-treating on a weekend if Halloween falls on a weekday? I've never heard of it being done on any night but October 31st.
YES! The adults were collecting candy with their kids!
Most of the municpalities around here set certain nights and times for trick or treat, so actually, if you had a parent willing to drive you around a bit, you could trick or treat on about 5 different nights in my area!
If a parent comes to my door and requests candy too I will just ignore their candy bag, its that simple. I am saving my candy for the kids!
