Does anybody know whatever became of "Stephanie" the featured ABT student in Jill Krementz's photo essay book A VERY YOUNG DANCER?

I have no idea what happened to Stephanie, but I was obsessed with this book when I was little. I didn't have my own copy, so I used to take it out of the library constantly. There was one called "A Very Young Skater" too, but since I took ballet lessons, the dancer one was much closer to my heart.

I'm not sure what happened to the ballerina, but in a little case of irony the girl in "A Very Young Skater" went on to become a prima ballerina with a few ballet companies in London and Vienna. Katherine Healy is now married, and choreographs ballets and skating routines. She also performs with the Ice Theater of NY and random exhibitions.

i always wanted those books to be about BOYS instead of girls.

Oh my gosh, what a beautiful book. Have no idea what happened to 'Stephanie' though. Probably what happens to lots of "Marie"s at the SChool of American Ballet...graduated from ballet school, found another career path and got married :)
