A certain John Wilkes Booth photo
#1A certain John Wilkes Booth photo
Posted: 12/4/06 at 11:28pmI've decided to write an English paper on John Wilkes Booth, and my American Government teacher told me about this very famous picture of Booth at some sort of speech made my Abraham Lincoln, and John wilkes Booth standing only a few feet away, staring at him dead on. I thought that was interesting but I googled it and can't seem to find anything. Does anybody else know what this might be? Thanks!

Picture 1.

Picture proof that booth was at the 2nd inauguration with the other conspirators. Booth is pictured above the speaker's stand in a tophat next to a pioneer wife. He was an invited quest of his fianc'ee, Lucy Hale, daughter of the New Hampshire Senator.

Ok a picture update. I found another picture showing Lincoln as well as the audience. It's difficult to se where John Wilkes Booth is on that picture but one can clearly recognize the giant woman, or man dressed as a woman, or statue or whatever. I merged the two pictures so it's easier to see. Ok when looking closer at the picture, I say that must be a statue or she should be in the record books.
Update:
On the other hand when looking even closer, the "statue" does not seem to have the head turned in the same angle on the two pictures.

On the other hand when looking even closer, the "statue" does not seem to have the head turned in the same angle on the two pictures.
Alternatives:
1. Giant woman who might be worthy of a place in Guiness Book of records.
2. There are several statues at the stairs to the capitol building which look similar.
3. There are two giant women, one of them worthy of a place in Guiness book of records if they are not the exact same height.
4. There is one statue and one giant woman.
5. The woman on the small picture is not giant. However it's not likely that the perspective is fooling me since she is behind the man on the photo.
6. Both of the photos or one of them are frauds.
7. The head angle is the same on the two pictures and i am fooled by the perspective. I can't see though how the perspective can fool me in that way regarding the head angle.
8. I am half blind.
I need someones input regarding this vital question.
