A question for anyone who has seen "The Family Stone"....

I was just wondering if anyone could remember what the name of the song was that Sarah Jessica Parker dances to at the bar, the one she requests on the juke box, in the Family Stone?

If anyone can remember, that'd be great!

I too really enjoyed this flick. I actually saw it twice. It was much better the second time when it was mostly older people seeing it and not a bunch of young kids expecting a Luke Wilson comedy. I found it very moving.

By the way, cmleidi, thank you so much. It's not on the Family Stone soundtrack and I really wanted that song after hearing it in the movie.

It'd been so long since I'd heard it.

Thanks.

Yeah, I was a big mess of tears by the end...

And the dinner table scene when Diane Keaton tells her gay son how much she loves him... *sigh*

Can I just say that after seeing the photos of Sarah Jessica Parker posted today - I think she is one of the most stunning women on the face of the earth.

I agree it was a good movie. I wasn't expecting too much because of the bad reviews but I actually enjoyed myself.

Although when Diane (sry can't remember their names) was talking about the guy who popped her daughters cherry, my mom leaned over to me and said that's something that she would say which I thought was kinda wierd.

Why wouldn't they know each other? That was a flash forward, in other words it happened a while after.

*SPOILER*:

It had to have happened awhile later since Diane was already dead.

Although I don't really remember any specific details, they probably said the exact date.

You must remember all the same that at the crux of every game is knowing when it's time to leave the table... And it's important to be artful in your exit. No turning back, you must accept the con is done... It was a ball, it was a blast. And it's a shame it couldn't last. But every chapter has to end, you must agree.

I thought it was a very sweet film. Great cast, decent writing and good direction.
