AADA And NYCDA

Hello, my name is Asher and I am currently a junior in high school. I will be auditioning for performing arts colleges next year but I have heard and read so many things about so many schools that I almost don't know what to believe. Originally I had extremely high hopes of auditioning and attending AMDA, but most people say that it has a really bad reputation now and then there is the whole "SCAMDA" thing. So, recently I have had my eye on AADA and NYCDA because those schools seem like a good college and learning enviroment for me. I am serious about my college and I want to do theatre for life but I don't want to waste my money with a college that isn't doing well. So, does anyone have any advice on any other colleges or how the auditioning process is like? It would be greatly appreciated :)

I am also a junior (well, senior now. I'm on summer break) destined to major in music theatre
