AFI Silver Theater: Bette Davis Films

In honor of her 100th birthday, AFI Silver Theater in Silver Spring Maryland will be playing Bette Davis films for the next couple of weeks. which i think is awesome since im a big fan of many of her films but am obviously way too young to have seen any of them in the theaters.

Here are the ones i am going to for sure:

April 5th
ALL ABOUT EVE - 3:30PM

April 20th
JEZEBEL - 1:00PM

April 26th
DARK VICTORY - 12:30PM

May 3rd
WHATEVER HAPPENED TO BABY JANE? - 9:30PM

just got back from ALL ABOUT EVE! I have to say, even though i've seen that film about 50 times, it was a whole new experience seeing it on the big silver screen! the audience was full and you could tell they were all folks who really appreciated the film the way i did. what a great experience.

i'm excited to see the others during the upcoming weeks... and what a great theater too.

i was bummed to get home and see that TCM had just aired some special called "stardust: bette davis" and i missed it. it also appears that it's not re-airing anytime soon. crap.
