ANOTHER GAY MOVIE

Today, I signed on as Associate Producers of a new film -- Another Gay Movie. A spoof on gay movies and gay life in general. Modeled after American Pie where 4 teenagers make a pack to have sex for the first time before summer ends. AGM involves 4 gay teenagers making a similar pack.

American Pie, AP 2 and AP 3 speak for themselves as commercial successes. Our movie has cuter guys and is a fraction of the budget ($500,000). This will be the 3rd movie made by our creative team. It follows Edge of Seventeen (2000) and Gypsy 83 (2003), two successful endeavors. NYTimes: on Edge:"a real gem", on Gypsy: "A Follow-Your-Dream inspirational comedy".

Our writer/director Todd Stephens, (wrote all 3 movies) is one of Filmmaker magazine's "25 New Filmmakers to Watch." He has also written for Lifetime Television. Edge was screened at Sundance and has been nominated for numerous awards, it was released by Strand. Its Box Office grosses reached $1m, (domestic and international) it can now be seen on cable, on airlines, at Blockbuster and NetFlix. Gypsy staring Karen Black and Sara Rue (ABC's Less Than Perfect) is a quasi gay movie, currently in release through Small Planet Pictures, it will hit the shelves in time for Christmas. It is on target to recoup its investment.

Unlike Broadway, members of this company, will own the film in perpetuity. If a one of our young stars becomes the next Tom Cruise, in 10 years, the movie will find new life and we will reap the financial benefit all over again. With several new all-gay cable stations currently being developed, they will be starving for quality programing to fill the airwaves.

Currently, cast in AGM include, Scott Thompson from Kids in the Hall, James Getzlaff the "bachelor" from Bravo's Boy Meets Boy and my Big Gay Italian Wedding and cabaret star Justin Bond (Kiki and Herb).

A unit is only $5,000, half units are permissible. Recoupment is at 120%, meaning first profits go to investors until 120% is returned, if you put in $10,000 you will receive $12,000. After that profits are split 50/50 between the producers and investors. All funds are held in escrow and are returned with interest if minimum capitalization ($300,000) is not reached.

I'm pretty sure you mean they make a "pact" and not a "pack." Unless you're talking about fudge.

I saw Scott Thompson perform live twice last week. He's great. Is his name really attached? Has he signed the dotted line?

I read the whole script when they were still holding auditions since my friend auditioned.
It was hysterical and SO dirty!

I really liked "Edge of Seventeen"!

I'm a college student, so I can't afford a unit - but if I could, I'd definitely invest. I will catch your movie, though! Good luck with everything!

I think it'd be a BLAST to be in.... it sucks being an actor and not involved with a project that really appeals to you./...
