Name all the Republicans you want, but nobody's private life touches those of liberals.

no one can or should deny that many politicians are basically scumbags.

the big difference is that the conservative scumbags wag fingers in other people's faces and further dare to propose legislation on the matter and then simultaneously claim that privacy is tantamount. the lizard had the nerve to get up before a crowd and preach the sanctity of the family, and was confronted upon stepping down by one of his soon to be ex-wives upon how he could dare to preach such nonsense after his own infamous infidelity. clinton was a dirtbag, but when did he dare to tell americans what they may or may not do in their bedrooms?

Barney Frank - running a gay prostitution business out of his basement

Goth are you repeating that lie because you like repeating lies or because you are ignorant of the facts in the Barney Frank case?

The House Ethics Committee ruled, after a 10-month investigation, that Barney Frank had violated House rules in two ways ONLY: (1) by writing a misleading memo to end Stephen Gobie's felony probation for prostitution and (2) by using his congressional status to waive 33 parking tickets that Gobie received driving Frank's car.

The committee concluded: "The weight of the evidence does not indicate that Representative Frank had either prior or concomitant knowledge of prostitution activities alleged to have taken place in his apartment."

Goth--do you know what "alleged" means?

Gobie's claims that he had conducted a prostitution ring out of Frank's residence were repudiated.

Frank's landlords, Colonel and Mrs. James Daugherty, submitted sworn testimony contradicting Gobie. And Gobie's claims that Frank allowed him to forward calls from his "escort service" to Frank's apartment were contradicted by the telephone company.

Members of the committee asked Gobie two specific questions, several times:

"Do you have any knowledge whether any of the clients that you arranged to engage your escort service in fact were involved or participated in any sexual activity at the Congressman's residence?"

"Did you yourself engage in such activities at Congressman Frank's apartment?"

In each instance, Gobie answered, "Not that I can recall at this time."

The committee recommended Frank be reprimanded for the traffic-ticket and probation infractions.

Happily the Daily Beast has crunched the numbers:
Republicans have more scandals (34 to 27), but Democrats have bigger ones, based on our methodology (13 out of the top 20). Democrats tend to have more problems with harassment, staffers and underage girls; Republicans tend to have more problems with prostitutes, hypocrisy and underage boys.

Congrats to Republicans: Prostitution- Solid Republican (6-1) and Hypocrisy- Solid Republican (17-9)!

Goth and Roxy are nothing but liars. Everyone here knows that. There are facts and the made up facts/history Goth and Roxy spew from Rush Limbaugh and Fox News(who can't even get a politicians political party right)

Sanford NEVER resigned. Neither did Larry Craig. Both decided not to run for reelection but both of them never resigned. So, I guess as usual the rules change for them because they are Republicans.

Goth, you really went from one giant tool that escaped from the tool shed into a pathetic, wimpy, puppet.

I think Bethnor pretty much threw your Barney Frank claim out the window. That whole case is pretty much a joke because it was found to be a pretty substantial lie by the people who were bringing it against him. Yet, like pretty much everyone in the GOP, when confronted with evidence of foul play, you run away after leaving a giant steaming pile of filth behind ya. And can you actually respond to JoeKV and Bethnor's posts? Or you going to ignore/run away like ya always do?
