ANTISPYWARE SOLDIER

My computer is sending me warnings that I have a virus and if I click on a the link it sends me to a website and they want me to download "ANTISPYWARE SOLDIER" but ANTISPYWARE SOLDIER is a virus disguised as a antivirus. dose anyone know how to stop the warnings that it is sending me? it made my computer background a worming and pop-ups coming up about it every 5 sec.

Okay, it sounds like you have a virus or adware that hijacked your browser. First of all, if you're using Internet Explorer, stop. Get Firefox.

If you don't have anti-virus software, download AVG from grisoft.com and have it do a full-system scan.

Download Ad-Aware from download.com and have it do a full-system scan.

Download Spybot Search & Destroy from download.com and have it do a full scan.

When you're done with all that, if you still have problems it might be time for a manual cleanup, but that's a really elaborate process. Try those things first.

The pop up ads sound like adware.

Get McAfee Virus Scan. It'll get rid of all that crap.
