Anyone else taking the AP Calc exam tomorrow?
I am NOT looking forward to this in the slightest. Ugh. 4 hours of Calculus! I didn't do so well on the mock exam, so I am a bit worried...

I took AP Calc last year. The test isn't that hard, as long as you are prepared. A tip for you: get a good night's sleep. Best of luck!

I took the Calc exam last year (AB). I was petrified, but it's actually not that difficult at all. You'll be fine!

Yeah, I'll be fine.

IF we ignore the fact that I got a TWO on the mock exam. :-/

Well, I guess I can tell myself that I got a 3 because I was .7 away from a three. So yeah, I got a three. re: AP Calc Support Group

I'm kinda scared too. But I was 2 points away from getting a 4 so I hope it will be ok.

Don't know how much else I can do. I think I'm gonna go to bed soon so that I get a good night's sleep

I have stopped my studying. I can't take it anymore. My goal is to pass the test, that's all.

Good night Ashley! Good luck tomorrow!

Of course you took the AB, Emcee. :)

Well I took BC and it was a BITCHIN time! The open-ended section wasn't as scary as I thought it would be. There was one were you just analzyed a graph and had to map the integral and calculate stuff with multiple derivatives and integrals, there was one on Taylor polynomials, one where you had to the find the volume of a graph when you spun it around the axes and around a random line... It was a good time.

But if you take BC, you should easily get at least a 4 on your AB subscore.

Don't worry too much, because even if you don't how to get the answer, you can still end up with a 4 (and a 5 AB subscore) for knowing how to fake it really well. re: AP Calc Support Group

EDIT: And DON'T worry about the practice exams. We took SO many of them and the actual AP was a LOT easier. I didn't know how to do half the problems on the practice exams...they were SOOOOO much harder than the actual exam. Either way, just write out as much as you know in the open-ended sections, even if it's not that relevant, because you can definitely score a lot of points just by showing them you sort of know what's going on...or at least what should be going on.

JUST HAVE FUN, it's the AP Calc exam...it'll be the time of your life!

And if it makes you feel any better, I got a 1 on the AP English exam! re: AP Calc Support Group I stopped after bull****ting my way through the first essay and used the rest of the booklet to practice for calc/experimented with different signatures.

That was fun!!!!

I am totally serious, I really had fun taking an AP Calculus exam! It was still hard, but it was fun. All those stickers and packets were fun, too. I certainly didn't get a 5, and I probably didn't get a four, but I *think* I at least got a 3. I BETTER have gotten a 3. The hardest section for me was the first multiple choice one, I left a lot blank, then I didn't have time to go back. Oh wait, I forgot. We aren't supposed to talk about it...

You can talk about it generally, like what you thought. Just not specifically. I thought that the free response was harder than the multiple choice actually. The MC were easier than I expected and the free response were harder.
