Adrian Bellani Will Not Return to Passions This Fall
Thursday, June 07 2007

Passions star Adrian Bellani (Miguel Lopez-Fitzgerald) has announced that he will not be continuing with the show after its move to DirecTV. In a message posted on his official messageboard, he stated that he has decided, after consulting with his agents and managers, to pursue other opportunities. He insists that this is not in any way a reflection on the show and the people involved but that the 'decision is simply a career choice.' He is currently completing filming and has promised that an exciting new shift for his character is coming up. There has been no word as to whether the part shall be recast in the future. Bellani is the second actor to be featured as Miguel, taking on the role in February of 2006. He replaced Jesse Metcalfe who has since gone on to other television and film roles on Desperate Housewives and John Tucker Must Die. Specific future projects for Adrian have not been stated.

Announcing his departure with his usual charm and grace, Bellani added that 'I truly believe that I was blessed to work with and be among such a wonderful cast, crew, producers, and network (NBC). I know that Passions is only a start for me, and I promise you will all see me soon. I want to wish all my Passions cast and crew the best on the move to DirecTv. I know they are all excited about the move as should all the fans.'

Since it was announced that Passions would be moving to DirecTV this September, many fans have worried whether their favorite performers would be returning to the show. We've seen a flurry of rumors and speculation from fans concerned that Harmony might be losing more than just its place on NBC. From the time of the first announcement, we've had a few confirmations slowly trickle out, teasing us with expectation. Finally, today, Soaps.com has news of the actors who have signed on to continue shooting with the show when it starts is eighth eagerly anticipated season on September 17th. Listed below are the actors who have officially signed new contracts with the show. Some of the actors currently with the show are expected to return but may only have been taken on in recurring status (for instance, Andrea Evans, who so ebulliently plays the malicious Rebecca Hotchkiss, will still appear, though only as a recurring player).

* The dapper Eric Martsolf will be returning as Ethan Winthrop.
* The inimitable Ben Masters will be returning as Julian Crane.
* Kim Johnston Ulrich will return as the gleefully vicious Ivy Winthrop.
* Boyish heartthrob Dylan Fergus will return as Noah Bennett.
* Born to be a leading man Galen Gering will return as Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald.
* Blond beauty Emily Harper will continue to shine as Fancy Crane.
* Perennial fan fave Lindsay Hartley will stay on as Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald Crane Casey.
* Her chief nemesis, the wonderful Liza Huber, will also be continuing as Gwen Hotchkiss.
* James Hyde will continue to add his agile charms to the role of Sam Bennett.
* Juliet Mills will still be Tabitha (but who could ever replace her?)
* The busy Heidi Mueller will return as Kay Bennett.
* Award winner Tracey Ross will still be Harmony's only doctor, Eve Russell.
* The vivacious Eva Tamargo (Pilar Lopez-Fitzgerald) will still look out for her troubled children.
* Current goddess of evil McKenzie Westmore will not give the role of Sheridan Crane up.
* Erin Cardillo will also be continuing, with her fabulous portrayal of Esme.
