I currently attending SUNY Potsdam as a Theatre major. I need some advice.
SUNY Potsdam is located basically in a cultural black hole. I have a really good finiacial aid package, and I love the professors at my school, but I have no access to any aspect of the arts other than musical concerts given by students of the Crane School of Music. The opportunities that there are to go see theatrical pieces I am normally in the shows, or I was a part of the design team or a part of the process in some way. I really want to be able to be bored on a saturday afternoon and decide to go see a show saturday night, and not drive 7 hours to do so.
I've looked into some CUNY schools, and from what I see Lehman, Hunter, City College, and Brooklyn all have good programs, with Brooklyn having the best program appartently.
What would you do in my situation? And does anyone have any advice about the CUNYs I listed?
