Advice on auditioning for a sultry character?

I'm auditioning for a play soon, and the character I'm going to audition for is very different that other characters I've played/myself, and I'm not sure how to approach it. She's sort of a vixen-ish character, who is vain and sexy at times. I've read through the script and she isn't like that in every scene (with the exception of vanity, which is featured in pretty much all of her scenes), but it's a big part of her character played up for comedic effect and it's a character type I've never played, so I'm not sure how to approach it. Any advice is helpful, thank you.

I'd work on centering your energy in a different part of your body. Start by walking around your room and then shift all of your energy down into your hips and your pelvis. Allow them to lead you forward when you walk. How does that affect the way in which you walk? Say a line from the script. How does that affect the way in which you talk? (If you really want to feel the difference, you can also try shifting your energy into your heart/chest and letting that lead you forward, and then shifting your energy onto the top of your head and letting that lead you forward. See how different they feel? Hips/pelvis are always best for those sultry characters though.)
