For many years I was the secretary of the Gay Democrats of Suffolk County and Alec came to several of our functions (he has a house in Amagansett). I got to know him fairly well. When I visited him backstage after TWENTIETH CENTURY our conversation focused solely on Suffolk County Democrats.
