Was surfing youtube, and found this clip from the old Marie show (sans Donny). She's singing a Garland medley. Okay, fine, nothing special about that -- it contains the obligatory "You Made Me Love You" and "Trolley Song" snippets.
But, at about 2:06, she breaks into...well, click on it and see for yourself. I was stunned.
And then I started noticing how the wardrobe and hair was very Garlandesque. You just know some queen infiltrated the Osmond TV compound and worked on this whole segment with great glee in his heart...
Judy Osmond... or Marie Garland....
It was me.
But I designed the costumes and the musical arrangements for Donnie not Marie.
One of the great regrets of my life, that he didn't do my Judy tribute.
Well, Marie gave it the ol' Mormon try.
Absolutely fantastic! Forgot how really talented she is....shoulda been in a couple of Bway shows back then. Knockout performance.

On her own it's good. But it should not have been marketed as a Judy Tribute.
Here's Donny, as you've never seen him before.

Oh Donny.
Not to threadjack, but the thing that I love about that version of "Dreamcoat" is the way that Maria Friedman just wipes up the floor with everyone else in it.
To jack it back (...ahem...) on topic, the point of my original post was NOT that someone was doing a Garland medley/tribute, NOT that Marie Osmond in particular was doing said medley/tribute, etc.
But rather:
I've never heard anyone include "I Will Come Back" when doing a Garland medley/tribute! Whoever put that together for her was hard core Judy, lemme tell you.

marie *is* very talented. she did a nice job with the garland songs.
i have her recording of "boogie woogie bugle boy" and she does a great job.
I love the YouTube comment that they should have given Marie a mic with a cord. The Osmonds are mega talented...and jolly. :^)
