I have this super duper obnoxious cousin. He is just plain disgusting, and we usually don't see him until after Christmas, so we havent gotten him a present yet.
He is an only child, and has virtually everything in the world. He is a HUGE HUGE Star Trek fan, and is really really into electronics. The trouble is, we only want to spend like up to $60 on him (if that). He is an ungreatful little bastard as well, and we are running out of ideas that he will find appealing. He has some sort of video studio in his basement, and is in to all that video stuff.
Anyone have any ideas??
Um...the "Wicked" cast recording? Ya know because....um......well, it's just so...and he would ......it makes....ehh..nevermind.
Actually, he has that and saw Wicked with JLT
and told me that she sucked. I freaking hate him.

Does he have that collection of Star Trek movies that they sell? A huge box set. I'm not sure how much it costs, but if he doesn't have it already, I'm sure he'll love you for getting it.
Find a picture of a comm badge online, print it out, tape it on thick cardboard, cut around it.
You can tell him you got him his own comm badge.

Thankfully enough, my mother is obsessed with Star Trek... :)
There are Star Trek-based board games and video games and books that he might like... that is, if he doesn't already have them. Otherwise, a $50 gift certificate to someplace like Boarders or Best Buy or something might be good, if he likes electronics.
When I was really into Star Trek, my sister bought me the "Technical Guide" for Star Trek: The Next Generation. I think they have one for every series -- it's just a pseudo-engineering/physics explanation of the science of Star Trek. The books are only about $15. Find out what series he likes best.
I'm surprised kids still like Star Trek; the franchise hit a peak with TNG, but its popularity has since fallen like a rock.
Thanks for all the help guys. Wizard, no offense, but he is the biggest loser on the planet. Not to mention he has everything in the world.
No offense taken. My enjoyment of Star Trek: TNG was due to its strong writing, well-developed characters and thought-provoking themes (not to mention some stellar acting from Patrick Stewart); the franchise has since hit the mud.
Isn't $60 a lot for a child? (In US dollars, no less!) My family doesn't really celebrate Christmas, but when I was a kid, I would be very surprised if I ever received such an expensive gift anytime of the year. I was extremely happy with $20-range presents, and I thought that I was a spoiled kid. Maybe because I come from a lower-to-mid-income family, I don't think I've ever received more than $200 (Can) worth of gifts during any holiday of the year.

How about naming a star after him, i think it's like $58 and it's called the International Star Registry....it's kinda cool and if he's a Star Trek nut, then it fits.
no one can hate aveue Q recording

Singingbackup, that's actually a great idea. Ask the kid what he'd like to name the star and pay for it.
That is an awesome idea! One that is not worth the little bastard.
My mom got him a comp out gift today for like 385973% off...so she is happy.
