Alto flair and the Wild Party

Does anyone know of any good alto songs? It seems that the mezzos and sopranos get off with the best, but c'mon there must be some. Enlighten me!

Also, is "Maybe I Like it this Way" by Lippa overdone as an audition piece?

Maybe I like it this way is not an alto song It's a mezzo ballad.

Cabareat and Chicago have good alto songs

I know it is- my Alto question and Wild Party question are separate inquiries.

I can sing both vocal parts, I just want to know if it's overdone.

I don't think its overdone. Now, if it were "The Life of the Party," I'd say overdone...or getting there fast.

There's always room for pathos - and jazz hands.
