Borsty - I'd read the story before, but never seen the post-incident interview I presume that GIF is from. A truly remarkable woman.

When you've got 20 to spare, you should check out her interview from Wogan sometime in the 80s. It's one of the most raw and honest interviews I've ever seen. Her ability to triumph through so much pain and degradation is remarkable.

Steve, you should check out Cha Cha Heels. Eartha did this one with Bronski Beat. This was a little after her early gay club success with Where Is My Man and I Love Men.

Wow ArtMan, you're right! But you're really making me want to do so much more research.

I thought the cha cha heels was Divine and Dawn Davenport movie.

Was bronski Beat the guys that went into Pet Shop Boys or Erasure? Some of the guys in here should make a Gay (-er) Jeopardy. Some of the Jim Somerville stuff is amazing. (smalltown boy)

Jimmy Somerville spun off the Communards from Bronski Beat. Neither had anything to do with Pet Shop Boys or Erasure. For Pet Shop Boys extras check out their collaborations with both Liza and Dusty Springfield. They produced/wrote projects for both. Erasure is Erasure. Check out their cover of Cerone's Supernature. It is amazing. Cha Cha Heels was written for Divine. But he passed away.
