At least he didn't say:
"The attacks on Valerie and MYSELF..." We live in a world where everyone believes the word "me" -- and its correct usage -- to be the equivalent of "ain't." People are so terrified of "ME" that they substitute the word "myself" at every inopportune turn. And on TV, when MYSELF" isn't trundled out, even learned journalists say "...between you and I..." I cringe. (And they "...feel BADLY" all the time too, instead of "feeling BAD," which is correct. But that's another subj.)
Please, let's not dumb down the culture anymore by suggesting that "...and I" in an object position in a sentence "...sounds better."
Otherwise, I can't wait to hear the 60 MINUTES interview with Wilson tomorrow night. CNN is revealing that Wilson will discuss Valerie's death threats. Me, myself, and I will be watching.
