That seems like a idea that would take all day.

You audition, then go through rehearsal and then hair and make-up, and then perform?

What about the rest of the day?

Guaranteed audition? The park is open 365-366 days a year. That means that many winners will be guaranteed to audition without waiting in line. Sheesh. (I doubt that everyone would actually audition anyway).

I'd rather it be more like Disney American Idol where you sing Disney songs and the winner gets free tickets to Disney parks/cruise.

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

I skimmed the article, so not sure exactly where the attraction is going to go- anyone?

I dont remember if the area that had "Millionaire- Play it" is still vacant. Wish they would not have closed that attraction !!'

It's going to Disney's Hollywood Studios (formerly MGM Studios).

The artist sketch makes it look like it's going to be a HUGE building. The area where the HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME show used to be is STILL vacant. As is the tiny building where the MILLIONAIRE - PLAY IT! show was (why the hell did they close it? It was a highlight and the prizes were great!).

Seems to me like they are going to expand the park with a brand new building for it, or close BEAUTY & THE BEAST, tear down that building, and build a brand new complex.

As long as THE GREAT MOVIE RIDE remains open for all eternity - I'll be happy. re: 'American Idol' Heads To DisneyWorld

It's going into the theatre where they did "Superstar Television" for years and more recently "Doug Live". Right next to Sounds Dangerous, and just left of the hideous sorcerers hat if you are walking in from the entrance.

That's also not as large as a space as I'd suspect.

SOUNDS DANGEROUS needs to close immediately. It's a hideous attraction and very dull.

They need to bring in another show where HUNCHBACK was! How about something from ENCHANTED?

I couldn't agree more about Sounds Dangerous. The old Monster Sound Show was far superior.

I haven't ever been able to bring myself to see Sounds Dangerous. I have heard it's awful.

This sounds interesting to say the least...

Will they have an animatronic Clay? Or use the real thing. Or is there a difference?

PEACE.

They can't have an animatronic Clay - they'd be worried about him sneaking off to Pleasure Island on Thursday nights...

I dont know why they closed "Millionaire" either ! I actually managed to get into the "hot seat" one time.

Was nervous as heck !! First question that they asked me was about Broadway ! (specifically, "ACL")

Totally agree about another love show. "Hunchback" was my fave that has been done at the parks. So funny that you bring up "The Great Movie Ride"- they have been threatening to close that attraction for years already, but it always survives !!

Love it as well !!

Really looking forward to the "T-Rex Cafe" opening !

Sounds Dangerous was the absolute worst attraction in WDW. They announced that we would be in total darkness for 8 minutes and without a doubt, it was the longest 8 minutes of my life.
