American Psycho ruined Huey Lewis for me.

Seriously. Hip To Be Square will never sound the same. Every time I hear the song images of Christian Bale hacking away at Jared Leto always come to mind.

Apart from that...good film. What are your thoughts on the movie?

A little known fact is that in the original screenplay, Pan's Labyrinth was Pan's FLAByrinth. Hmmmmmmm...glad they changed it.

I think it's fantastic.

And Christian's very nice to look at, too!

It has to be better than the book. It's one of the few books I've read (partly through) where violent acts are described with sexual relish, and sex acts are described in the most repulsive, disgusting, anti-human manner I've ever encountered.
I ask in all honesty/What would life be?/Without a song and a dance, what are we?/So I say "Thank you for the music/For giving it to me."

Huey ain't tryin' to hear that.

"The gods who nurse this universe think little of mortals' cares. They sit in crowds on exclusive clouds and laugh at our love affairs. I might have had a real romance if they'd given me a chance. I loved him, but he didn't love me. I wanted him, but he didn't want me. Then the gods had a spree and indulged in another whim. Now he loves me, but I don't love him." - Cole Porter

If anything, American Psycho persuaded me into liking Huey Lewis...and Phil Collins for that matter.
One of the best gore scenes I've seen in one of my all time favorite movies.
