to our "own" Marc Shaiman, I know he'll be "AMAZING" and I'd like to add my vote for Bill Murray for Best Actor!

I may watch the Oscars just to see the Kodak Theatre... that place is beautiful. I love it.

I would gladly accept a tV permanently stuck on ABC-TV. It's the home of Sam Champion, the sexiest (and gayest) weatherman on the air!

My Oscar wish: That Tim Robbins -- the likely winner -- doesn't pull a Michael Moore. We don't need to support the "Shut Up And Sing" faction's easy dismissal tonight. It's a year later. Moore took a stand on the brink of war, when many were silent. Now, we have candidates out there, dissing the Bush regime isn't widely discussed as "un-American," and selfishly as a Democrat, I don't want our drumbeat-to-Nov. cause diluted by the perception that we don't know when to hold 'em, and when to fold 'em. (Don't yell -- I am for unedited speech, but it's an election year.)

attention you aliens! release my buddy auggie before i get really po'd and start a universal war.

rest assured, robbins has made it clear that he has no intention of turning tonight into a political moment. even if he should make some point, i actually have faith that he'd be understated and subtle and classy. that would in no way detract from my desire to slap him silly, but that's got nothing to do with his politics.

all right, all right, Papa. I got carried away, in my political paranoid fervor (not for the first or last time). But Tim was a class act. Better abused children than abused Democrats! He acquited himself well. No Moore tonight. Not yet.
