Tens of thousands permanently are disabled
Hundreds of billions of dollars were wasted.
Our leaders lied to us and to the world.
There were no weapons of mass destruction.
The war in Iraq has inspired new terrorists and made our country less safe.
The U.S. lost power and prestige in the world.
Our post-9/11 goodwill was squandered.
Our personal liberties and the Constitution were trampled.
There is ongoing genocide in Darfur and countless other world problems we've ignored.
We're stuck in a war that our President chose to start, but a war he can never end.
The Taliban is back in power in Afghanistan.
Osama runs free, and Al Qaeda is stronger than ever.
AND ALL WE GOT WAS THIS LOUSY DEAD DICTATOR.

Saddam was executed by the Iraqi people for crimes against humanity following a fair trial. Saddam was responsible for the deaths of thousands of his own people. He was a brutal dictator.

That's right, Spidey. Saddam was only on trial for the massacre of 148 Shias men and boys in Dujail. He's certainly killed (or been responsible for the deaths of) many more, but he was technically only sentenced to death for the Dujail massacre.

So Jim who encouraged Saddam to invade Iran in 1980, which was the greatest war crime he committed for it led to the deaths of a million and a half souls? And who sold him the components for the chemical weapons with which he drenched Iran and the Kurds?

Are there really still idiots here on this board and in this country who believe Saddam was connected to 9/11 when even Bush himself has admitted that there is no connection?
Saddam's death penalty was carried out so quickly because dead men tell no tales. Had he been given a chance to appeal, he might have had to testify if and when Bush is investigated/impeached for his lies.
