When you live your life like Andrew Brietbart did you have to just accept some things. When you gloat over someone who dies who you disagreed with politically and you tell countless lies about someone just to bring them down because you can, then you don't get the respect most people get when they die.
Brietbart made a living being a bully, destroying those he disagreed with, and all in all was just a mean spirited hateful bitter man. I hear he had a lovely wife and 4 beautiful children. What she or they saw in him was clearly not what we saw. However, they are in the minority. Most will remember him as being a scum bag. So, when you die the wife and children you love will have to spend the rest of their lives hearing about what an evil jerk their Dad and husband was.Not exactly a kind thing to leave behind for such a beautiful family.
A lifetime of headlines like these is what they have to look forward to. Thanks Andy!

"Aany man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind, and therefore never send to know for whom the bells tolls; it tolls for thee." John Donne, Meditation XVII.
True enough, if you must take the high road, but I think even John Donne would have to agree that not all deaths are equally diminishing. Until Dick Cheney passes, Brietbart's sudden departure sets some kind of standard for un-diminishing death.
RIP, and all that, I guess.

I loved his "In Your Face" approach, though it is certainly not my style.
I remember him a few years ago on RED EYE and he had his little son (about 8 year old) sitting on his lap. I am sorry that little boy (and his siblings) have lost their daddy.
He was apparently a very driven hyper guy, but also very likable. Even Laurence O'Donnell on MSNBC did a very nice segment on him and said he liked the guy.
Can't imagine who will fill those shoes. He certainly was "Larger Than Life" and "One of a Kind".

His kids will have to hear stuff like this about him and watch video clips of their crazy lying father for the rest of their lives. So, like I said before ANdy is leaving his family a wonderful legacy of his hate.
