Angel Shunard character help.

Hey, everyone. :)

My school is going to be doing the School Edition of RENT this Spring and I'm going to be playing Angel! I've seen the show live many times and I've also seen the movie but I was wondering if you guys could help me out with finding the character. I really would like to delve deep into it with backstories of how she was created and all that good stuff.

Any and all help would be so appreciated.

Obviously, she is a survivor - and super creative. She does metal sculpture, plays drums, whatever it takes to earn a buck.

I remember an interview somewhere where Wilson Jermaine Heredia said that as soon as he put on Angel's platform shoes he was the character.
