Am watching Anna Karenina. Something that always puzzled me... Why was Anna so shunned for having an affair, when the other gal (Countess Betsy) and even Vronsky's mother could have their countless affairs.

It's been such a long time since I read the book. :-/

which version are you watching? I think the one with Greta Garbo from 1935 is the best.

The one shown on PBS a couple of years ago, with Helen McCrory as Anna, Stephen Dillane as her husband, and Kevin McKidd as Vronsky.
