2. Who is your favorite actor or actress who has performed in it, and what role did they play? Jeffrey Mylett (in the avitar) played Jeffrey and Robin Lamont played Robin.

3. What is your favorite scene or song in it? the finale after the crucifixion

4. Who is your favorite character and why? Jeffrey-he has one of the best songs, and the actor playing him is usually kinda hot

5. Do you have any recordings of the show (If there are any) If so, what cast is it? Yes...Orig. casts of Off Broadway, London, Sydney, Melbourne, revival Sydney, revival Off Broadway and 2000 National Tour, London studio cast recording, film soundtrack...

6. Were you in it at any point in time? No, hopefully before I hit 30.

7. If you weren't in it, what role would you like to play and why? Jeffrey...great song, great costume, great lines...

8. What is your favorite thing about the play or musical? It's very hard to describe what makes it special. People either really 'get it' and love it or don't 'get it' and hate it, or at least, can't make sense of it. When you submit to it, it's really a very moving experience. It also has to be done honestly and intelligently, and not as a 'Hair meets JCS' production either.

Sweeney Todd

1. Who wrote it? Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler

2. Who is your favorite actor or actress who has performed in it, and what role did they play? George Hearn (Todd). However, I do have sort of a fangirl thing for Neil Patrick Harris, who was Toby in the recent concert version... and Daniel Torres was Toby once, so I guess him too.

3. What is your favorite scene or song in it? I have several: Kiss Me, Epiphany, Johanna (all versions, especially the Judge's, that was cut from the original production), A Little Priest, and the prologue.

4. Who is your favorite character and why? Ooh, that's hard. Johanna, Toby, Mrs. Lovett, Todd (of course), and Judge Turpin (all for very different reasons)

5. Do you have any recordings of the show (If there are any) If so, what cast is it? Original Broadway cast recording (and the two DVDs)

6. Were you in it at any point in time? Nope.

7. If you weren't in it, what role would you like to play and why? I've thought about this before, and realized I'd be equally thrilled to play anyone from Sweeney Todd to Chorus Person #6

8. What is your favorite thing about the play or musical? Beautiful, lush score, clever lyrics, and extremely well-developed characters. I think the fact that it's so dark appeals to me too. It portrays madness, but in such a way that you can see what led to the madness, and infer whether or not it could really be qualified as such. By that I mean: Yes, what Todd did was horrible, and disgusting, and what have you. But can't you see what led him to do what he did? Is it really that extreme, given his situation?
Plus: I get chills every time I watch George Hearn performing Epiphany.
