The comings and goings lately reminded me that...
Another hundred people
Just got off of the train
And came up through the ground
While
Another hundred people
Just got off of the bus
And are looking around
At
Another hundred people
Who got off of the plane
And are looking at us
Who got off-a the train
and the plane and the bus
Maybe yesterday.
It's a city of strangers.
Some come to work
Some to play.
It's a city of strangers,
Some to stare,
Some to stay.
And everyday
The ones who stay
Can find each other...

So true Jose',
So true...
But we should have some memorial services for those that have departed...

That's so weird! All the departures made me think of the song sung by Jet Screamer, the Conrad-Birdie-like rock star on The Jetsons. He sang:
"EEP APP ORK AH-AH
EEP APP ORK AH-AH
EEP APP ORK AH-AH
EEP APP ORK AH-AH"

"Someday I'm going to have a baby and I'm gonna name her L'il Mimi Marquez and I and will sing to her every day and when she's a toddler I will say "L'il Mimi Marquez, clad only in a bubble diaper, will perform her famous play pen handcuff dance to the sounds of breast milk being pumped!" ~Kringas

Posted: 1/13/05 at 6:07pmOk, Namo, this is weird... I grew up in latin america so all the shows I saw as a kid were dubbed, so I never really get those pop culture references. Alas... I do remember the song! Yay!

Namo, "EEP APP ORK AH-AH" brings tears to my eyes...
It so beautifully sums up the way I am feeling at the moment!
