When I checked my email this morning I had an email from my grandmother, with "Great Granny" as the subject. The message was short and the point.

"Great Granny died this morning. I'll send you details later."

It looks like I'll be headin' back home a little sooner than what I hoped.

Do you not have a phone? I can't imagine getting an e-mail instead of a phone call informing me about the death of a family member.

Are you in the will?

Doubt she even had one.

(If you're insinuating I'd get any inheritance, you can go to Hell. That goes for everyone else too.)

Now, now. You shouldn't be trying to read people's minds.

DGrant, that was a fairly tasteless comment and quite odd that it came from you.

Obviously, this is not the poster that I am familiar with, and I offer my sincerest apologies to the young man who has taken his place.

Don't post if you don't want reactions. You've yet to learn that, even with all your negative experiences.

Reactions are fine, Rath - Just not crude ones such as "how much money are you going to get?"

No where in DG's post does it say that.

Seeing as how 8 minutes after this post was started, the esteemed Captain was calling someone else a 'freak' on another thread, perhaps he isn't as mournful as some others would be under the circumstances.

And I'm sorry for following the identity of 'mercenary' that you came to the board with, Captain - I'll try to keep up with your life progressions more fully in the future.

bdwaygirl, DGrant is a very astute fellow and I think we can be pretty sure of what he was insinuating.

I don't care if you think a poster has been the biggest douschebag on the planet. He might be, but if you wanna make snide remarks do it elsewhere on another thread, not one dealing with the recent death of a family member of said poster. It's called respect and decency. That's my two cents anyway.

This wasn't a sudden death - I'm used to grieving, we all knew it was going to happen. And as for calling Parks a freak, he knows I was joking.

After having discussion with our wonderful Priest (sounds like i went to confession - maybe I should) I'll put in this little caveat - for what it is that might be real to you Captain, I certainly don't wish you to feel pain. My comment came from a bit of background, but I think Priest is right in that it doesn't have to infect this type of thing. I'll offer my apologies for the disruption caused, and go back to paying attention to other things.
