The original cast of Some Like It Hot was supposed to be Tony Curtis and Frank Sinatra and, in the role played by 2nd choice Marilyn Monroe...

I have a private video of Mitzi appearing at a "Hollywood Gypsy of the Year" tribute to June Haver and Gregory Hines. Mitzi is pretty plastered but funny as hell, telling a surprisingly off-color story about the original color of June Haver's pubic hair and describing Betty Grable as a "real bitch". Esther Williams is there too and tells a great story about the only thing in Lana Turner's MGM dressing room being "this huge..BED!"

I remember her being a guest on the Tonight Show in the mid 1980's. Burt Reynolds was the substitute host for Johnny Carson. The first thing he said to her was, "Let me just say, after all these years, you still have a terrific tush!"

LOL Jon, that was a good one. I loved Mitzi Gaynor in "South Pacific", i also liked her in "The Joker is Wild" with my idol Sinatra. She has killer legs, and as Reynolds put it: "a great tush".
