Wow, what a memory trip! Sylvester and Patrick Crowley. My favorite was and still is Kid Creole and the Coconuts, but Sylvester is still royalty. That voice!

I saw Martha perform this summer at gay pride. Mama has gotten big. Real big. And she seemed pretty bored with her songs.

Sandra Bernhardt used to do a great routine about a guys first trip to a gay bar ("There's a man in a caftan! Someone hands you a Tambourine!!") that ended with a righteous version of "Mighty Real." Sylvester was the first person to show me that there was an entire world that I had never seen- a whole world where men wore dresses and sang like angels....
