horseback riding? Some of us are going to take a day of riding after grad school lets out for the summer, and I've never been. I'm sure it will be western style. Anybody gone or does it for a hobby?
I love it! It takes a little getting used to at first, but it's so much fun.
I used to go when I was younger. But, I don't anymore because I think it's kind of cruel.
It is so much fun. I used to do it all the time as a kid.

I used to go on trails all the time in the summer.
Sometimes I went bareback (which I don't recommend at ALL - talk about pain!) - and don't say anything about that, sickos!
I took lessons (not Western) for a few years. It is A LOT of fun, just don't be scared, and make sure your horse knows who is boss.
make sure to wear underwear.........(don't even ask)
Also, make sure you wear shoes with a bit of a heel. Jeans are a good idea too. If you wear a thinner material, you will chafe. Believe me, NOT pleasant.
The last time I went horseback riding was when I was probably 5 or 6. And that time, my dad led the horse with a piece of rope.
I used to when I was a kid, for 6 or 7 years. I kind of wish I still did.
I used to ride and I did it for years. I'm not a big fan of Western, but it's all good. Expect your legs to be sore for a day or two after riding, but other than that, horseback riding is great.

Wonder if the horse likes being sat upon...
I love it, I go as often as I can- last time I went riding was on the beach in Costa Rica in December. It's awesome, but you will definitely be sore for a bit afterwards!
