I used to - seriously. A few years ago (quite a few, actually) I realized that if I needed to make a change in my life, then why wait for January 1? So from that day forward, any resolutions to be made were made right away.

Get back on Weight Watchers and lose at least 35 pounds by the end of the semester. Since I'm enrolled in a yoga class, hopefully the exercise will help me stick to it.

-Abstain from pining for unavailable men like Hugh Jackman, Andy Roddick and underwear models;
-Not take Patti Lupone seriously;
-Learn how to attach things to emails;
-Clean the house;
-Swim the Provincetown Harbor Swim For Life (about 1.6 miles in chilly water);
-Stop pretending I understood all of The Coast of Utopia.

I suppose there are others, but this isn't a bad set of goals to start with.
